How long does acupuncture take to help chronic pain?

 Studies have found regular treatment resulted in a clinically significant reduction in chronic pain that remained over time.

It may take 2-3 sessions for you to notice a significant improvement to your pain levels. A course of 5-10 treatments is recommended. 

After this, treatment can be spaced at longer intervals to help keep pain symptoms manageable and aid in flare-ups.

Acupuncture can be used as a stand alone support for chronic pain or alongside medication, physiotherapy and exercise.
