Within sports treatments for muscle activation and strengthening.
How does it all work?
E-stim stimulates the release of self made, opioids, neuro-transmitters, neuro-peptides and other neuro-chemicals to modulate pain signaling in the central and peripheral nervous system, stimulate neuroplasticity and promote a deep sense of relaxation.
Ear acupuncture (also known as Auricular acupuncture) is the utilization of acupuncture points found on the ear and was developed in France, in the 1950s by Dr. Nogier.
Ear acupuncture is now used worldwide in hospitals and rehabilitation centers for pain management, drug and alcohol withdrawal symptoms, and rehab programs. The famous NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol is used to help people quit smoking and recover from opioid abuse.
The NADA protocol is well-researched and taught to many healthcare professionals. Ear acupuncture has also been used on the battlefield in China to control pain for injured soldiers and has useful applications in this area in the clinic as well.
