Eleanor holds a Bachelors degree in Health Science and Acupuncture, graduating in 2012 from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine, Christchurch. Practicing privately in Australia for over 7 years, Eleanor worked successfully within the Australian health care system, returning home to Christchurch in 2020 to bring her skills to The House Of Acupuncture.
During her time in Australia, Eleanor developed and provided services to support the accessibility of acupuncture into the grass-roots of the community. Founding a multi-bed, shared space community clinic, running at reduced overheads and passing on the reduced costs to clients. Eleanor also established and co-ran bi-weekly acupuncture and meditation group sessions for relaxation and stress management.
Eleanors interest is working with natural health to support varied conditions which extend into all areas of people’s life. Her areas of experience span musculoskeletal, pain and injury rehabilitation, mental-emotional wellbeing, women’s health and fertility, and chronic condition management.
Because Eleanor enjoys working with many people from diverse cultures and backgrounds she fosters genuine and friendly therapeutic relationships to deliver quality, professional services.
Eleanor is currently a registered practitioner with Acupuncture New Zealand and is providing ACC and private treatment in Parklands, Christchurch.
Frances is a registered acupuncturist and Chinese medical herbalist with extensive post graduate training in functional medicine, fertility and reproductive immunology. She works alongside Eleanor to assist patients’ health with nutritional supplements, herbal medicine and nutritional advice.
Frances is known for applying her expertise to complex health conditions, in particular women’s health and fertility, as well as digestive complaints, skin conditions and autoimmune disease.

Taking time to understand what is going on at a deeper level often includes looking into recent blood testing as a part of getting to the root cause of complex health and hormonal conditions. Aiming to achieve an ‘optimal’ rather than the standard ‘adequate’ range to improve hormonal balance, as well as nutritional, and inflammatory biomarkers.
